Taste of the Poconos (formerly A Taste of Wayne) is a community celebration of all things local! TotP takes place every 3rd Saturday of May in small town Newfoundland, Pennsylvania, located in the Pocono Mountains region and hosted by the Newfoundland Area Public Library. Explore a charming, small town festival featuring Pocono Mountain & NEPA wineries, breweries, distilleries, food trucks, restaurants, artists & artisans, small businesses, nonprofits & charitable organizations, live music, outdoor activities & games for both young and old, and farmers market -- nestled in the hidden gem of Carlton Drake Memorial Park.
Only $20 pre-sale or $25 at the door! Sample local beers, wines, ciders, and more while you stroll the park and enjoy the festivities.
Please reach us at napl@waynelibraries.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
While we do have tickets, they are not tickets for admission to the event. You are free to enter the park, participate in activities and games, explore the park, browse vendor booths (who charge their own prices), and listen to live music for FREE! Tasting Tickets are optional.
You need to be an adult age 21 or older with a valid ID to purchase a "Tasting Ticket." The Tasting Ticket allows you to sample beer, wine, and spirits from the local breweries, wineries, and distilleries that will be at the event. You will not be able to sample wine, beer, or spirits unless you purchase the Tasting Ticket (which consists of a wristband and cup).
Purchasing a Tasting Ticket is OPTIONAL -- but it does help raise money for the library.
Tasting Tickets can be purchased before the day of the event (May 17th) online via Zeffy. Pre-sale Tasting Tickets are discounted at $20. Tasting Tickets can also be purchased at the event for $25 with cash, credit or debit card. Proceeds of Tasting Tickets benefit the Newfoundland Library!
Absolutely yes! Since TotP is held in a public park, we encourage attendees to explore the outdoors with activities, games, or self-directed exploring. Past activities include face painting, an obstacle course, reptile shows, tile-making for a Newfoundland community art installation, make and take project, crafts, lawn games like cornhole and can jam, and more!
